In the midst of my research on mental health, Health care providers  and in particular, Psychiatrists –  I wanted to find out if there were others out there that had similar experiences to me. Others, like me, everyday people, who were desperate to seek the medical expertise from supposedly, highly qualified Psychiatrists, in the vain hope that “they” would make you well again.

If the truth be known, does it even matter to them if they help you get better – or are we just an irritant that stands in their way of bigger or better things?

I can only comment on my own “journey”, from GP, then referred to my local mental health team (who were all so professional and supportive), but eventually, I was presented, (like a sacrificial lamb) before a Psychiatrist.

There, after trying to explain to him/her how you came to be in such a poor mental state, your mind is almost clinically dissected in front of you. I, got every long winded, non sensible, and non understandable medical phrases put to me, to the point where my mind was on over heat mode.

It was this reason, or that reason, WHY I was so ill. But what about making me well again, I cry?…..Sharp intake of breath, pregnant pause, clearing of the throat, then a stern look over the spectacles – then, normally a prescription is hastily written out.

A further appointment is made for some distant time, and you are quickly ushered out of the room before the next victim, or should I say, the next patient goes in. You leave the building more confused and unwell than before you went in – but, of course, “they” know what they are doing – they are the Psychiatrists (Cue, the good, the bad, and the ugly theme music)

I began questioning whether this was just me that this was happening to, so to try and give my mind some kind of reassurance, some kind of virtual (in)sanity – I went on the Newark Mental Health Team Website, and searched for reviews – This, is what I found.

Review by Katrina Cook

Dr Innes (the same Psychiatrist that I was under) made me feel worse than when I went and although I needed help she offered none. I was sent away for weeks to cope with no support. It was that bad I never went back. She blamed my mental health issues on not eating enough when in fact the mental health problem I suffered years makes my eating habits up and down. I have now moved and got a different care team and having to start over again.

Even in a different town Dr Innes is known to be unhelpful and a horrible psychiatrist to use. She is well known to one of my care team as not being very good at her job at all as they have had a lot of complaints against her down here. I would never go back to her again and I would advise that anyone who needs help to not use her – and you can google her name, and it reported she was investigated into the death of an old lady she was meant to be looking after. Please be very careful and if possible don’t use her.

A second review, this time by V Ro

Dr Innes biggest waste of time ever, then she went on to breach my confidentiality and data protection through idle gossip in the tea room. Don’t waste your time or effort – they have no solution and they are making big £s off your illness – stay clear – stay clear – stay clear.

Then a third review by Kym Pendered

I saw Dr Innes for my anxiety disorder and she was useless rude and very judgemental. She didn’t offer any help at all and basically said just to keep taking the tablets. All I can say is that I am glad I had a supportive husband and family or I wouldn’t be here right now.

It now makes sense, WHY, my mental health worker (identity protected) suggested that I stop seeing Dr Caroline Innes – oh, and the fact that my wife, in her best English, told Dr Innes that she was f**king useless.

I cannot finish this article without my old back stabbing mucker Dr Medley having a slot in this conversation.

I have made my feelings quite clear about this medical professional, and I have discussed him in detail in my book “Will the guilty all rise Part Two” – As I have previously stated, I have official documented evidence to support my discontent with him should he wish to have a tussle in Court about what I have to say, or have said.

Anyhow, I then discover, or should I say uncover where this supposed medical expert is plying his trade.

” I work part time in the NHS General Adult Psychiatry. I also undertake approximately one hundred medical legal assessments per annum ( not bad at £1000 – £1500 per job, AND on NHS property? – mine was)…. I undertake work in the field of General Adult Psychiatry with specific reference to Post Traumatic Stress Reactions….I have experience of attending Court & Tribunals to give evidence in these matters” – Source The Law Society Gazette.

My point in discussing, and including Medley is this – how can the ordinary, every day man or woman with mental health issues ever get the critical NHS time and care that they need, when medical professionals like him have got their noses firmly in the private sector trough? – oh, and this is just one of his little side-lines, I wonder how more little nudge nudge, wink wink little earners that he has?

I have given you two separate examples of Psychiatrists who clearly do not have our best interests in mind. I think that questions need to be asked about Dr ( I only do private client commissions – that take eighteen months to surface) Neil Holden , or Dr Daniel ( I give you enough medication (including the poison Lithium) for three men) Moldavsky.

How many more Doctors names will surface, and methods questioned, before patient care is the main priority?

We, as the little people at the bottom of the pile, just get kicked to the side of the road – to go away and just take our tablets. Just who, or how many, are the great pretender(s)?
