You can run and try to hide, you can try and bulls**t your way out of your Newspapers failings, but in the end, you must face up to the truth. As the Head of that particular Newspaper Organisation, the responsibility lies with you.
Today, I received an email response from Group Editor PHIL BRAMLEY. The list he is group Editor for is quite impressive – BUT not quite worldwide.
The Derbyshire Times, Matlock Mercury, Buxton Advertiser, Ripley and Heanor News, Mansfield Chad
Ashfield Chad,, Hucknall Dispatch, Eastwood Advertiser, Worksop Guardian,Retford Guardian and the
Gainsborough Standard.
He tried to distance the Chad from the role it played in only reporting and publishing part of the criminal case against me – stating that none of the current senior editorial staff were in post at that time….hmmmmmm, chin rubbing time.
He said that he cannot find out why later hearings at the Crown Court were not reported….hmmmmmm, chin rubbing time.
As a gesture of goodwill, two articles which I complained about were removed from archive section on August 31st – What the hell are you on about? – I don’t want your goodwill, I want your honesty and formal apology.
The articles were removed due to my complaint, and after confirmation that I was innocent from a Crown Court Official to your Head of Content JOHN BALL.
For the record, the offending publications were NOT removed on the 31st AUGUST as you refer to. Mr BALL said that it would be three days before they would disappear. I have screen shots to hand that prove that the articles were NOT removed until the fourth of September – MR BRAMLEY try to be honest and factual when making statements – clearly, someone has been telling porky pies to you.
MR BRAMLEY then said that the TWO ARTICLES were protected by ABSOLUTE PRIVILEGE – in other words they had IMMUNITY from any claim of defamation against the Chad Newspaper for printing them. Nothing mentioned about your papers need to establish, investigate and report on the full facts of the case, oh, and of course, in the public interest.
So, if I reported that you were a rapist, given that the role of my website is to investigate, report, and then publish failings and misconducts – by individuals AND organisations, without concluding that you were innocent or guilty, is that acceptable? Would there not be damage done to you and your family?
You know, and I know that that is totally unacceptable and wrong – but without a conclusion, the doubt is what is left in the mind – did he do it? – didn’t he do it?. Unchallenged, this is left to manifest and grow.
Next, MR BRAMLEY stated that he was not aware that non publication of an article gives rise to entitlement to compensation in English Law. Again, please refer to the Charter and promises of the Mansfield Chad and form your own opinions on this one. It is what they did, and consequently did not do that is the argument.
What I do know, is that no matter who you are, in this day and age, you cant just go around saying or printing s**t about someone without foundation or evidence – I have both
The information that they printed was flawed, AND the Chad failed to investigate before fanning the flames.
I have offered to meet MR BRAMLEY and to achieve a sensible resolution, AND I will be expecting a formal written apology from the CHAD for their part. I am trying to be as reasonable as I can, but it seems like the Head of this Organisation wants to treat me like an idiot.
