I believe that many people are in denial at having, or experiencing mental illness as it is viewed by some as being weak. From the moment that your accept your own invisible illness, you can take steps to get better, but who do you go to? What medical professional can help you? Drawing on my own experiences and dealings with these such people, I can tell you how different treatments were of benefit to me (or not)

We are all unique, we are different – what has worked for me may not work for you, and vice versa.

My own views are perhaps controversial, as I believe that once you have mental illness – you have, and will continue to have, mental illness. However, despite your illness, you can go on to live and enjoy life.

In my next blog, I will start to document the process of my journey with the services of the National Health Service – it may help you and give you hope.
